Solo Christmas lunch

The ‘Solo’ diners gathered today to enjoy their Christmas lunch – those who live on their own and usually eat alone!

The Woodlands Hotel had been booked – before the torrential rains made the road past the golf club impassable, which meant a longer drive than usual to the Meathop roundabout past flooded fields.

However, the hotel was warm and welcoming, beautifully decorated for the festive season, and a delicious lunch was enjoyed, complete with crackers and mince pies.
