Civic Remembrance Service 2021

In view of the current Covid situation locally this year’s Civic Remembrance Service in Grange over Sands will take place at the War Memorial in the ornamental gardens. It will commence at 3 pm, following the parade through the town leaving outside St Paul’s Church at 2.45 pm, led by the Flookburgh Silver Band.

The full service sheet will be given out as a souvenir for this special year.

There will be a service in St Paul’s in the morning but the civic service will be at the war memorial where we shall celebrate 3 centenaries – the British Legion, the Poppy, and the unveiling of the war memorial by the the Lord Cavendish. His great granddaughter will be present to lay a wreath, as will the Deputy Lieutenant and MP Tim Farron.
