A special Sunday

Sunday, 11th August, turned out to be a special day for St Paul’s on two accounts.

First, Brian McCann was formally installed as our Churchwarden by the Vicar, David Wilmot, and, second, it was the day we said our goodbyes to Margaret and Doug Ratcliffe.

Both of them had been faithful members of the church – and of the community in Grange, since they came to live here 20 years ago.  They had played important roles in the life of St Paul’s – and Margaret particularly in the primary school, and  will be sorely missed, but this was the time to say goodbye and to wish them well in their new home in Burnley, nearer to their son and family.
