Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II
As we mourn the death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth we give thanks for her life of service and duty to this nation, to the commonwealth and to the Church.
Creator of Heaven and Earth
through all our days you fashion us and by your grace we grow.
We thank you for all that was accomplished in your servant Queen Elizabeth. As in life she glorified your name, so beyond death may she serve you still, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
We give thanks for the hope of heaven and we pray for all who mourn this day remembering especially members of the Royal Family.
God of the living and the dead, when you raised Jesus from the tomb you gave new hope to his desolate disciples.
Cleanse, restore and heal us in our time of sorrow.
May we go forward in his strength upon our pilgrimage, sharing the fellowship of the redeemed, both living and departed. Amen.
May the souls of the faithful departed rest in the hand of God, where no torment shall touch them, and where they are in peace. Wisdom 3: 1-2
Lord, now lettest thou thy servant depart in peace: according to thy word. for mine eyes have seen they salvation which thou hast prepared before the face of all people; to be a light to lighten the Gentiles and to be the glory of thy people Israel. Luke 2: 29-32
